According to Gallup, a global polling organization, happiness index among Chinese people recorded the lowest, with 71% of them saying they were not satisfied with their life. The reasons for the poor results vary from housing, medical insurance, food safety to social inequality. In response, the Chinese government stated that it would make the public happier, adjusting relevant policies which put happiness above economic growth. The government should benchmark success cases of other countries to resolve the issues while pursuing a shift in lifestyle so that Chinese people can be satisfied with their daily lives.
